I plotted points around London with this chimney as the origin, visited each location, and dissolved a sugar cube at each location. This is a project to surround the vast city with "lies," which sink fleetingly to the bottom of the teacup, and the minute actions of a one human being. イギリス･ロンドンの砂糖工場跡地「Sugar House Lane」に一本の古い煙突が残されている。 この煙突を起点としてロンドン全域にグリッド状の点をプロットし、実際にそれぞれの地点で角砂糖を溶かすという行為を繰り返した。 小さな行為の連続は、ティーカップの底へと沈む儚い"嘘"となって巨大な都市を包囲してゆく。 |
