| This spatial installation of numerous lines embarks on the brand new gallery. Visitors are supposed to cut strings of the artwork. Their interaction gradually unveils the actual gallery space as if it's inner skin is shed while the installation is disappearing. "Wall", "column" and "beam" as an illusion are becoming undefined within the two days of the exhibition. It should be a process for an emergence of the new space that visitors destroy the artwork and that time and space within the installation is ephemeral. 新しくオープンする展示空間のための「線のパビリオン」 パビリオンを構成している無数の線は訪れる鑑賞者によって切断され、空間が脱皮するように皮膜としてのパビリオンは消失し、元の空間が立ち現れる。 幻影としての「壁」「柱」「梁」は二日間という時間の中でゆっくりと霞み、展覧会を訪れた人々の“作品を壊す”という行為と 赤色で統一された構築物に内包される「時間」や「空間」が果敢なく霧散する様は、新しい場が生まれる孵化の過程となる。 |
